Pac-10 All-Academic Team – Honorable Mention in 1999
National Merit Scholarship Winner in 1997
7 State Championships in Arkansas high school track & field from 1995-97
USATF Junior National Champion in the 400 & 800 meters in the 15-16 age group in 1995
2004 – Present: Since graduating from Stanford University, my wife and I have been working from home in order to be with our children. During this time I have been an independent consultant to Internet startups such as BitWine.com, Slide.com, and Chatango.com. My wife and I have also been running our own small Internet retail business, Noss Galen Baby (NGBaby.com). I am currently writing my first novel.
2003-2004: I went back to school at Stanford University to complete my degree in History, with a focus on US History. I graduated in June 2004.
2000-2002: I stopped out of Stanford to join an Internet startup called PayPal.com. I was the Senior Product Manager overseeing the Online Auctions market (ie eBay), and also oversaw the implementation of our drive to upgrade users from free accounts to fee-based business accounts. We were wildly successful and IPO’d the company in Feb. 2002. I left the company in May 2002 and my wife and I spent the rest of the year hiking the Appalachian Trail and spending time with our families.
1997-2000: I entered Stanford University as a freshman in the fall of 1997. A recruited athlete, I ran the 400 meters for the Stanford Track Team. I also held leadership positions in The Stanford Review (a conservative campus publication) and Harvest Christian Fellowship.
1994-1997: I enjoyed a wonderful high school career at Arkadelphia High School in Arkansas. In addition to many academic awards (including Valedictorian and National Merit Scholar), I was able to win seven state championships and two national championships in track & field.
