It is my great pleasure to introduce myself. I am Deborah and have been psychic since birth. My Mother delights in recalling stories of my psychic and telepathic abilities dating back to as soon as I could walk and talk! I used to toddle in to the wool shop or grocers and order exactly what she wanted without having been ‘told’! At that age of course I never questioned this ability and felt I had been told as clearly telepathically or psychically as if vocal words had been used. Children don’t question these abilities, they are as normal as every other instinct or sense. As we become older we may lose faith in these natural powers if we are told often enough by the adults in our lives that it is our ‘imagination’ or ‘a coincidence’ or plain stupidity. This is a shame. I believe that we should nurture and value these abilities in our children. Our senses and instincts all exist for a reason and we are in danger of blocking too much of our natural energy and power, if we dismiss this dimension of being a living, feeling, human being. Thankfully we seem to be moving into an enlightened era where these senses will once more be recognised and valued. In many circles spiritual experiences, ghostly happenings or angelic encounters are now acceptable topics of conversation. For me, admitting that I was a psychic medium felt like coming out of the closet. A deep-rooted fear of being judged as strange, mad or dangerous probably dates back in our psychic memory through generations of witch burning, ignorance and prejudice. Thankfully I find that most people these days are accepting of these gifts and abilities in others, and I think that this is partly because in their heart of hearts they know that they too have these abilities at some level. Even though they may have been well trained to dismiss and discount them.
