Make your bookkeeping (QuickBooks, Peachtree) and financial management (Quicken, Money) software work for you, instead of the other way around. Let me train, tutor, teach and help you learn the programs through my personalized one-on-one instruction.
As a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, I teach small business owners & individuals how to financially fish (or make Tofu if they’re a vegan) for themselves by offering one-on-one customized private lessons, classes, instruction, tutoring, training, & seminars in person or online in QuickBooks & Quicken.
Learn how to properly set up your chart of accounts or books, add customers & vendors, prepare invoices, receive payments, process credit cards, download your online banking statements, set up inventory, process payroll, reconcile your bank & credit card accounts and prepare financial reports that allow you to see how well your company is doing (or not.)
You’ve hired an attorney, accountant, insurance broker, HR person, & other professionals to help you set up, start and manage or run your business.
Why not hire someone to teach you how to effectively use the bookkeeping software that you will be relying on to discover how well you are (or aren’t) doing?
Or would you rather sit in the dark?
I am a friendly Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor who works with both PCs and Macs. I have additional certification in the company’s Point of Sale (POS) and Enterprise software.
I also am a member of the Intuit (the folks who make TurboTax, Quicken, and QuickBooks to name a few products) Accountant’s, Quicken, and TurboTax Inner Circle which advises the company on ways to improve their products and make them more consumer friendly (gasp!).
For networking, I am in Biznik – the in person and online social business networking group with six recommendations. I have seven recommendations on my LinkedIn profile.
My company is a Better Business Bureau Accredited Business.
Bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa (including honor coursework.)
Completed two years of law school at Seattle University where I was nominated to be the graduation speaker.
Listed in Marquis’s Who’s Who in Finance and Business.
I was the former operations and office manager with a “cents” of humor for a non smoking professional services (architectural) firm that did around 2 million a year in business, had 15-18 employees, and a 22-30% profit margin.
During my two and half years with the firm, I was invited to speak about my experiences with QuickBooks and office management issues (such as why we covered employees on our health plan beginning with their first day of work versus waiting 90 days like most of our competitors) at my professional association’s national convention.
Previously, I was a career temporary (administrative assistant) for seven years, securities arbitrator, real estate agent, VISTA volunteer for Solid Ground (formerly Fremont Public Association), and patient financial and collections representative for the UW Medical Center.
I also have experience and the following current programs on my computer: QuickBooks Simple Start, Pro (PC and Mac), Premier (all editions and versions), and Enterprise, Peachtree, Microsoft Small Business Accounting and Office Accounting, Quicken, and Money.
I currently volunteer as a moderator for a local Freecycle TM group and serve on the advisory board for a monthly newspaper.
