I am experienced in the multimedia industry, including web, graphics, illustration, film & video, and live performance. I can offer advice on web/graphic design and development, along with basic steps to setting up your own website. I specialize in back-end maintenance of websites (XHTML, CSS, Javascript, XML, some AJAX tips, etc.), and also can provide support for front-end development using graphics programs such as Flash, Dreamweaver, Frontpage, Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDraw, and others. I can also offer advice on videography and non-linear editing for general use, and also for specific questions regarding Mac/PC platforms, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Avid.

I also follow the trends in prosumer digital video camcorders, primarily in the high-end HDV and HD technologies.

If you have need of illustration or cartooning, I am an accomplished illustrator with skills in both digital and analogue world. Advice on using Photoshop, Flash, openCanvas, and Painter.

I have been an artist and illustrator since I was a child, specializing in whimsical and random subject matter. I have always loved 2D cartoons and animation, and have many years of experience drawing 2D content.

As the years have gone by, I taught myself graphic design and web design. The web is an endless realm of expression, so my skills fit well.

In college, storytelling as the root of my degree, and I studied the five major platforms of media distribution: filmmaking, TV/Video production, Internet and New Media, Radio, and Theatre. I emphasized in filmmaking, specializing in knowing digital video camera work, lighting, and editing. My creative skills went hand in hand with the storytelling capabilities of these media platforms.

During college, I worked full-time as a graphic artist and laser engraver for a barware accessories manufacturer. There I gained specialized skills in digital artwork preparation and manipulation for printing and engraving.

After college I started an online business with a partner, specializing in Latino/Chicano novelty items, such as shirts, books and posters. We purchased a 4-color screen printing machine, and created our own graphics on the tshirts. We also self-published a satirical, ABCS’s “coloring book” with latino-themed content. This book was used as a study guide and discussion starter in the local college as well as various elementary and secondary schools throughout the country.

I was also managed the websites for a group of Clear Channel TV stations for about two years, when I moved on to be a Global Web Content Specialist for Trend Micro, Inc. in 2006.

In 2007, I started reviewing films for a local news publication, geared toward young adults.

All through this, I spend my free time developing my illustration skills, videography and editing skills, as well as web development and graphic design.
