Advisor User Guide
The Taskbar & Web pages are both used to enable you as an Advisor to use the BitWine network. As an Advisor you are also a Client. Client specific documentation can be found in the Client User Guide.
After you have registered your have registered your|BitWine account, downloaded the BitWine Taskbar and have registered for a PayPal account, you are ready to search for an Advisor.
Once you have activated your BitWine account and completed your Profile, your Advising services will be searchable by potential Clients on the BitWine website.
Logging in
There are two ways to accept calls from your Clients. The first way is to simply launch and login to your BitWine Taskbar. When your Taskbar is active, potential Clients on the BitWine website will be able to see that you are online and ready to take calls. At these times, they will be able to call you directly and begin an Advising session with you.
Accepting appointments
The other way to accept calls is via appointment. Potential Clients can request an appointment with you through your Profile on BitWine. When an appointment is requested, you will receive an email detailing the Client's name and the day/time they would like to meet with you. You can then either accept the appointment, reject the appointment, or request that the appointment be moved to a different day/time that is convenient for you.
Accepting Calls
When a Client calls, your Skype will ring and you will be able to answer the call. Using Skype, you will also be notified that this is a service request call and you will also be able to answer from the notification window by pressing the green Accept icon.
As you answer, you will be able to hear your Client and also see them if they have a webcam set up.
During the first part of your call, you and your Client should introduce yourselves and agree on exactly what you will be discussing during your session.
Start Billing
After the introduction phase you can begin charging by pressing
the
button on the Taskbar.
At that time, your Client will be asked to authorize the charge and will be sent to PayPal
to verify their authorization. This process will take a minute or so,
and then the paid portion of your session will begin.
During the course of your session, the BitWine Taskbar will enable you to monitor how long the call has been going and how much money you have earned during that time.
There are also several other functions you
can do during the call using the Taskbar. You can pause and resume
charging at any time using the
and
buttons.
More actions
You can refund all or part of the amount you have charged your Client using the "Refund" option in the "More actions" menu.
Additionally, your Client may send extra payments to you using their "Send Check" option in the "More actions" menu, if you agree to provide services beyond what was originally agreed.
If your Client runs out of credit during the course of your session,
your call will be placed on Hold, video will stop and chat communication
with the client will be available while they are sent to PayPal to add
an additional amount to the original payment authorization. Client can
resume full call capabilities by adding more credit, yet both sides has
to use the Un-Hold function on Skype which will resume to a non-charged
call, until the client adds more credit.
Terminating a call
When you have completed your session, either user may end the call by
clicking the
button on the left side of your BitWine
Taskbar. At this time the Taskbar will let you know how much you
earned during that call, and that amount will be paid to your PayPal
account. If your call is accidentally disconnected or if your Client
ends the call early, you will also be paid at that time.
Reviewing your Client
When the call is concluded, the Review window will pop up from the Taskbar, asking you to rate the experience you had with your Client. This Review will be used by other Advisors when deciding whether to accept an appointment from this Client in the future.
Honesty is the best policy! Remember that the Client is also leaving a
Review of their experience with you, which will help other potential
Clients decide whether to use your services as an Advisor.
Skype privacy settings
In order to accept calls from your Clients you should allow incoming Skype calls.
- 1. Open Skype, go to the Tools menu at the top of the Skype window and select "Options" at the bottom of that list.
- 2. Select the "Privacy" option in the left-hand menu.
- 3. Choose "Allow anyone to contact me" and press "Save" to close the window.
