AUTHOR: As a result of a freak golf cart accident which resulted in a broken jaw, Karen authored the Nutritional Guide to a Liquid Diet book which is a tool for those individuals who have had their jaws wired shut due to an accident or by voluntary surgery. This user-friendly guide is designed to provide maxillofacial trauma patients with a survival guide of recipes to sustain optimum health and speed recovery.

RADIO TALK SHOW CO-HOST: Today’s Woman: It’s All About You. 1220-AM KHTS. A talk show for women by women focusing on women’s health. Karen brings her nutritional expertise to the show educating the audience about an array of topics ranging from avoiding harmful food additives, to how to shop healthy yet economically.

COLUMNIST: A frequent contributor of health and nutrition information, Karen’s columns appear regularly in the Magazine of Santa Clarita.

PUBLIC SPEAKER: Karen brings her down-to-earth style of communication to community education classes, providing common sense nutrition back to the public in a way that is easy to understand and implement.

VIDEO BLOGGER: Karen produces a weekly Food For Thought Thursday video blog that is hosted on her website as well as on YouTube. Subscribers worldwide take Karen’s weekly advice to heart making changes in their diet and lifestyle to improve their health.

INSTRUCTOR: Karen created an 8 week weight loss program for the YMCA’s Weight Busters class which she was also the instructor.
