I am a professional photographer with over 30 years experience of running my own studio.

You may have seen me on BBC TV’s “Trade Secrets” program giving photographic tips. My tip on cleaning old photographs was top tip. I have also taken part in BBC radio phone-ins as a photographic consultant.

As well as a Portrait and Restoration service I run walks and talks for photographers.

I am a registered Master Photographer and a member of BIPP.

I still run my Studio from my base in Northumberland as well as teaching digital photography at three levels, Basic – Intermediate – Advanced, at the local adult education centre. I also take clients on “landscape” walks around Northumberland. I can help with almost all aspects of photography as well as restoration of old or damaged photographs, enhancement of digital photography and scanning of film, transparencies, plates and prints.

WEDDING – I have experience of a wide variety of weddings from small to large, religious and civic. Pick my brains before you go for it! I can also show you how to “fake it” include relatives that could not make it or take out the ones that you wish hadn’t.

PET PORTRAITS – Mainly dogs, I have clients from all over the North of England and South Scotland who bring me their pets for me to produce wall portraits. I can tell you how to become a pet photographer.

CHILD PORTRAITS – Everyone should have a good selection of pictures of their children, especially when their babies. Let me point you in the direction of a better picture.
