How can I get to the place of being by myself? I don’t and refuse to get in another relationship with another man. I just want to be by myself and focus on my kids. After constant heartbreaks and dissapointments with men I’m honestly tired of them. Any advice would be lovely.

In order to be your most authentic self, you’ll need two things: time and patience.

Being “you” is a lot harder than it might seem! In order to fully prepare yourself for whatever is around the corner (including another potential love), it’s important to understand yourself well enough to know what your vulnerabilities and strengths are. This will protect you from predators very well.

But, it doesn’t come easily. Exploring yourself takes time and a willingness to change, which most people aren’t honestly going to do. If you want to feel free to be you, practice daily with trial and error: try a new food or drink, explore a new place, take on a new book… everything you introduce to yourself will help you to see what your natural inclinations are and how they affect your mood.

You don’t have to go to Tibet to find yourself, you can do it right at home. Most importantly, listen for that inner voice. That’s your intuition and holds the most truth about you.

And if you’re refusing to get into another relationship, the Universe might be plaguing you with uncertainty about it: try to go with the flow and keep yourself safe from all these jerks!

I too have realized that I will be alone for the rest of my life, it is a bitter pill to swallow for sure, but sometimes we just have to accept and move on, and make what we can out of life. For some of us true love will never find us, I just wish some of the readers here would tell us that. a couple here did finally tell me the truth, and I will accept graciously.
