BitWine: One of the Good Ones for Nutrition

What a nifty website! BitWine makes it dead easy for anyone to get expert nutritional advice without ever leaving home and at reasonable rates. The service offers licensed nutritionists and registered dietitians who give consultations at set fees. (Compare these to the charge for going into an office for an appointment to see which ones are the best deals.) No need to make a special trip, and you can choose advisors who specialize in specific areas. The site works with PayPal for payments and uses Skype for live consultations.

In addition, there is a question and answer section in the bulletin board and this is free. All you need to do is register. Professionals can apply to be advisors and be paid for their advice as well.

Once registered, you can use the bulletin board and read helpful articles or you can enter key words to find a professional advisor. Then you can read profiles and pick a consultant if you wish. Compare the ease in doing this to trying to find someone who will be a good fit for, say, vegan marathon runner with diabetes or some such special need in the yellow pages. Of course, like any other health care provider, I’d suggest checking with their state board to verify credentials.

I find BitWine to be innovative and useful and recommend taking a look, even if you aren’t currently in the need of a personal nutritionist.
