Happy Valentine’s Day!

I personally think Valentine’s day is just another reason for society to spend unnecessary money to “show their love”. There is a lot of pressure when it comes to today, getting plans and reservations right, getting the perfect gift, planning, preparing… a lot of stress, a lot of pressure, a lot of extravagance, but for me today is all about love… Now if its tradition and as a couple you’ve agreed on a plan of action, there’s no harm in that of course, it has become quite a tradition in general, but everyday is a day to show your love. Lets say you don’t have anyone to be your “Valentine” or the person you would like to be your Valentine isn’t available, today is still a day to be thankful for, everyday is a day to show your love and care for others. If your Valentine can’t make it, try and find a cute way to make up for it. If you don’t have a Valentine, ask a close friend to be your Valentine and spend it together making memories. An even better idea is to use Valentine’s Day as an excuse to show yourself some love. Focus on you, get a yourself that hair cut you’ve been thinking about, get your nails done, buy that CD/book you wanted to check out… Enjoy you! You are loved everyday.

If you do have a Valentine for today be sure to give them the things that matter, kindness, understanding, patience, communication, and affection… But not just today, every day.

Today is just another day, smile, spread kindness, be thankful for what you have and the people in your life that care about you & make sure to make time to love you too! ;-)
